It is the promise our forefathers made when they climbed the 16 steps at Aapravasi Ghat, that they would work hard , live with dignity , and never forget where they came from. As your President I pledge to serve that promise, and strengthen our roots . But I cannot do it alone. I ask for your ideas, your time, and your continued faith and that of our youth.
