## Local University Students Catch Live Digital Traps

The project is already yielding real-world results. A team of local
university students from the University of Mauritius—**Chitrakshi
Bhookhun, Pushali Bundhoo, and Madhav Sanmukhiya**, working alongside
experienced Cyberstorm.mu member **Avishai Poorun**—recently caught
active malware lurking in public software libraries.

Hackers had uploaded fake software disguised under popular names,
waiting for unsuspecting developers around the world to download them.
The Mauritian student team caught the fake code, analyzed how it
worked, and published a public security warning on GitHub:
